Why We Are a Green Hotel…
The Quail Hollow Inn is designated a green hotel by the State of Vermont (www.vtgreenhotels.org) because we think it is important to take immediate steps to preserve our environment. Every day millions of tons in pollutants enter our air and water. We think future generations deserve living in a clean environment. We think immediate steps need to be taken to prevent global warming. Please join with us in this effort. The planet needs our help. Thank you.
What We Do…
- Recycle plastics, glass, paper & metals.
- Use post consumer recycled paper products
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning and laundry products.
- Compost kitchen and yard waste.
- Mulch leaves as natural fertilizer.
- Use fluorescent light bulbs.
- Use low flow, low water usage plumbing fixtures.
- Use high efficiency, low water usage laundry equipment.
- Use high efficient heating equipment.
- Ask our guests to participate in a linen re-use program.
- Promote awareness of protecting our environment.
